Seward Read Around

Read Around February 24 - March 23, 2025

The Seward Montessori Read Around is our annual read-a-thon and school-wide celebration of reading. During Read Around, Seward students are encouraged to read at home every day, recording this time on their Reading Record. There are also lots of in-school activities - guest author visits, mystery readers, Camp Read Around, and more!

Fundraising Goal

This PTA fundraiser helps raise money for our school and programs. Students are encouraged to ask friends and family to pledge money for their reading. Students who raise $50 also get a Read Around t-shirt. 

Donations make vibrant student experiences possible. Every gift – regardless of size – makes an impact. Donate online at www.givemn.org/story/Sewardreadaround2025 or with check or cash collected by students to help us reach our goal of $10,000. 

Donations to Seward Montessori's PTA support:

  • Read Around Activities, such as:
    • Local visiting authors for Children's House and E1 Classrooms
    • E2 Writing Workshop with a local author
    • Read Around t-shirts for all students meeting daily reading goals
    • Classroom books by visiting authors
  • Classroom Resources, including materials, books, curriculum, and tools to help teachers and staff excel
  • Educator Grants aligned with Seward Montessori's core values
  • Community Events, like the Seward Spring Family Event and more!
